Quickbooks Online 2024

Quickbooks is the most widely used accounting software in Canadian businesses. You will learn the different uses for each module and journal, be able to set up a company from a template of accounts, and print, and understand the various reporting features of Quickbooks. This course will take you through the basic features of QuickBooks Online Plus.

    Business set up in QBO -Company/Partnership/Sole trader.

    Getting around the home page drop down menus, icon toolbar and navigator windows

    Setting up customers and suppliers (A/R and A/P)

    Transaction entries (cash and credit sales, cash receipts, cheque payments, supplier invoices, credit notes)

    Generating trial balance, income statements and balance sheets

    Preparing bank reconciliations

    Work with chart of accounts, journal entries

    Accounting for GST/HST

    Inventory and service items set-up

    Setting QuickBooks preferences

    Overview of the Report Centre



    Learning outcomes:

    By the end of the Quickbooks course, students will be able to:

    Creating new business in QBO -Incorporated Companies, Partnerships, Sole

    Traders

    Able to display, edit and print financial statements and other reports – sales, inventory etc.

    Record non-cash transactions such as depreciation.

    Record journal entries.

    Add new customers and vendors.

    Add, edit, and delete accounts in the chart of accounts

    Record purchases on credit and payments to suppliers (accounts payable)

    Record selling on credit to customers and enter cheques received from customers (accounts receivable)

    Print cheques, sales invoices

    Deposit money from undeposited funds to a bank account
