(L-R) Roland, Terri, Cristina, Wayne, Jumima and Ouliana On November 24th., Skills for Change held its first Bowlathon to raise money for the United Way. Over 25 SfC staff and guests participated divided into five teams. Refreshments were provided by Skills for Change. The competition was fierce and the prizes outstanding. 
 
 
In the final round, the championship team (Wayne, Roland, Cristina, Jemima and Ouliana and Terri) won T-shirts, movie coupons and gift certificates.  The runner up team (Oi-Ying, Libby, Asha, Barbara, and Mitchell) scored 459. In the first round, Olga, Norma, Grace and Faduma finished with 397, Shabnum, Paula, Avantica, Qaiser and her daughter  scored 306.
 
 
Winners of Ferro Bar & Cafe gift certificate for the most pledges were team members Jane, Betsy, Chantel, Susan and Jalelah.
 
We also had a draw for other gifts with winners Susan Galea (toaster oven), Ouliana (food basket) and Michelle (antique plate).
 
This event raised $500.00 for SfC 2000 United Way Fundraising Campaign. 
 
Star Bowlers were Jemima (with 9 strikes) and Olga who, despite her admitted bowling phobia, hit all the pins down at one time!
