- This year, SfC staff held its annual Book
'n Bake Sale to help raise money toward
our United Way campaign. Staff and clients donated hundreds of books and
lots of tasty treats.

- Browsing through the books with a cup of hot coffee and a
home baked goodie was a perfect early start to the morning.. The most popular
books were about computers, mystery novels and contemporary non-fiction.

- United Way Campaign Committee
Chair, Wayne McIntyre, said that he was "...very happy to announce
on behalf of the 2000 United Way Campaign Committee that our first Book
and Bake sale was a huge success. We have raised from the sale for
United Way $400.00.
- The Committee would like to thank all
staff, clients/students and volunteers for their overwhelming support. A
big thank you to Fatima for her help.". He expressed
the hope that the committee would see
everyone again next week and through out the Campaign.
