- Skills for Change, for a second year-in-a-row, was nominated
to receive the Spirit Award. The Award is to recognize
agencies that run outstanding employee campaigns and
demonstrated strong support for the United Way through events
and creative fundraising efforts:

- Our 1999 United Way Campaign Committee exceeded last year’s
fundraising efforts by over 100%. Once again, big thanks go to
the Committee members who generously contributed their own
time, especially by showing-up at 7:30 AM on Fridays for our
bi-weekly Bake Sales. Our appreciation is also extended to all
SfC staff, staff from our Dufferin Mall Employment Resource
Center, and all the clients and students who participated in
the 1999 Campaign with their generous donations and support.
