The United Way
Helping Hands Day
1999

On Helping Hands Day, SfC welcomed sixteen Canada Post volunteers. This year we had two participants from the Manulife Financial as well.

Each volunteer conducted two "mock job interviews" with SfC clients who are actively seeking paid employment. Volunteers provided an informative and much useful feedback to our clients on the process of job interview.

SfC values the three years history of this event in partnership with Canada Post volunteers. This event is invaluable to our clients who are actively seeking employment in their area of expertise.

Here is what one Engineer from STIC program wrote about his experience:

"On the 20th of October I have been interviewed by volunteers from Canada Post organization. I'm obliged to them very much for their help. It was a good practice for me. I have got a lot of information and some useful advises. I was very glad meeting so nice people." - Boris Rzhotkevich
