Spirit Award
1998
On December 7, 1998,
Pippa Shaddick, Eileen Dalusong and Kamal Asgharinia attended the 1998
Spirit Awards dinner celebration. Skills was presented with an
"Agency Employee Campaign of the Year Award." The Award
is "…to agencies that run exceptional campaigns and
demonstrate support of United Way through participation in United Way
events and programs." Only six agencies, from about 250 United
Way agencies, received this award. The other winners were: Mcaulay Child Development
Centre, Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, St. Christopher House, St. Stephen's
Community House and Woodgreen Community Centre of Toronto.-
- By and large this award is the reflection of Pippa’s hard work in
our 1998 United Way Campaign. Also, the award reflects all the support
the staff and clients have given to SFC through our 1988
campaign-including 50/50 tickets, Walkathon, CN Tower Climb, the Book
Sale, and the Silent Auction at the AGM Meeting. Thank you all for all
the hard work and the generous donations you have made in 1988 to the
United Way!
