Teaching in Ontario |
|
Are you an internationally
educated teacher (IET) who wants
to bring your education and
experience to Ontario’s
classrooms?
Although the Teach in
Ontario website
continues to offer information
about teaching in Ontario at
www.teachinontario.ca,
the Teach in Ontario
project is no longer
offering the services formerly
available to internationally
educated teachers. The project
was started for the purpose of
helping people navigate the
certification process and
prepare for employment. Since
the Ontario College of Teachers
(OCT) has made this process much
more manageable,
certification-related services
are no longer required. As well,
the OCT is discussing potential
orientation resources for
internationally educated
teachers. Information about
these resources will be
available on the College
website.
Skills for Change in continuing
with our tradition of providing
support and services to
Internationally Educated
Individuals will continue to
offer services to
internationally educated
teachers through:
-
Orientation and Information
sessions
-
Counselling and Job Search
Assistance
-
Mentoring and coaching
In order to register for any of
these services please contact
Maya Rattan at extension 231 or
email her at
