To be eligible you must in receipt of Ontario Works, have a caseworker refer you to an Orientation Session and have minimum English Benchmark Level 5.

NEW! Enhanced Language Training (ELT)
for Internnationally-trained Tradespeople and Agrologists

The new Enhanced Language Training (ELT) Program is a pilot project funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.  In collaboration with the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW) and the Ontario Institute of Agrologists (OIA), the project will develop pre- and post-assessment tools and training curricula for two sectors: internationally-trained tradespeople and agrologists.

Board of Trade - A Celebration of Creativity

Jane Cullingworth, our Executive Director, was a VIP guest at the Toronto Board of Trade’s 118th Annual Dinner on January 23.

2006 has been declared as "The Year of Creativity" in Toronto by Mayor David Miller. In keeping with this celebration, the evening included keynote addresses by David Mirvish, Producer (Mirvish Productions) and Kevin Wallace, Executive Producer of The Lord of The Rings stage adaptation.

The Dufferin Mall Employment Resource Centre is Moving

Dufferin Mall Employment Resource CentreThe Dufferin Mall Employment Resource Centre (ERC) has received notice that our lease at the Dufferin Mall expires on February 28, 2006.

While we look for a new location in the Dufferin/College area, we will move our basic operations to Skills for Change at 791 St. Clair Avenue West.

All job seekers are welcome to use our equipment and resources in our temporary centre.

We will let you know by e-mail (sign up for our e-newsletter at www.derc.ca) and fax broadcast when we are settled in our new home.
