Our Hidden Treasures Sale will be
held on Friday, July 15, 9a - 6p and Saturday, July 16, 10a to 5p at Skills for Change.
Donations of
books, electronics, CD's, small furniture, adult and children's
clothing, toys, crafts, kitchen items, tools, and other attic
treasures are especially welcomed.
All proceeds will go to Skills for Change.
If you are interested in making a donation to this event, please drop

'Salsa on
St. Clair' Street Festival |

Salsa is coming to the Skills
for Change neighbourhood Friday, July
15 (7p to 11p) and Saturday, July 16 (noon to
11p).
The
Hillcrest Village BIA, in partnership with Telelatino (TLN) and
Ward 21 Councellor Joe Mihevic's office, are hosting a Salsa party
for the whole family, complete with live entertainment, a salsa
competition, food, games and much more.
Admission is free.
From Christie to Winona, St. Clair will be closed to vehicular
traffic and transformed into a showcase of the very best of
Latin life.
Join in a free salsa lesson, listen to the music of the strolling
musicians, sip wine on the patio of one of our many terrific local
restaurants, enjoy the children's activities with your family . .
. it will be a festival for everyone to enjoy.

Free Information Session - July 12 |
- Sector Specific Information Sessions
are held monthly for foreign-trained engineers, engineering technicians,
technologists, accountants, and teachers trained outside Canada.
-
- Participants receive information about
their sector - an overview of their profession, the licensing required,
where to get language and upgrading programs, how to research and apply
for jobs, and get receive labour market information.
Presentations on the licensing requirements are done by the licensing
bodies such as the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Ontario
Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists, Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and the Ontario College of Teachers.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario sponsors the monthly
information sessions for internationally-trained accountants.
