Kanchan Lakhotia

As the Intake and Assessment Counselor for TWSP in Peel, Kanchan is the first point of contact for clients. She has over 10 years of intensive experience in immigrant serving sector. With university degree and advance counseling certificate, she combines her counseling expertise with her in-depth knowledge of community resources to guide clients to accessible programs and services.

Her strong interpersonal skills, passion for her job and sensitivity to clients’ needs enables her to build strong rapport with clients and community partners. She is an expert in clients’ needs assessment and developing a perfect action plan. Kanchan describes herself as friendly, approachable, detail oriented, with excellent communications skills. Her strengths include establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, community agencies and clients.

Ermira Simeqi

Ermira Simeqi is a skilled professional with diverse law, international community development and management background. She brings more than nine years of experience and expertise in organizational development in non-for-profit sector.

She assists Trades Win Support Program team and other employees at Skills for Change in promoting the program in the community and in partnering with other stakeholders in Peel Region. She has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse clientele, very much familiar with the issues of immigrants

Anabel Antunes

As Facilitator/Counsellor for the Trades program in Peel, Anabel specializes in providing clients with employment resources so they can leverage their aptitude, capacity and experience to apply for rewarding and successful careers. She has a Masters degree in education and an extensive EAP/ESL/LINC teaching background. Her professional designations include Certified TESL Ontario Language Instructor and Certified Canadian Language Placement Test Assessor.

With her friendly and personable approach, Anabel is able to motivate and engage clients’ interest to attain their immediate and distant career goals. She is a self-described natural trainer.
