|
|
|
|
Mentoring
(through the TRIEC Mentoring
Partnership) |

convention refugee eligible to
work in Canada

Intake and Assessment Process |
|
|
| |

general agency orientation
-
referral directly to the program
(including referrals by Service
Canada assessment centres) with the
exception of mentoring clients
-
direct client enquiry to the program
|
-
Preliminary screening of clients may
take place through the agency’s
intake staff, or directly by the
Intake Consultant/Counsellor (or in
the case of some of the mentoring
referrals, by the Mentoring Coach).
-
The Intake Consultant/Counsellor
does a full assessment of eligible
clients to assess job readiness for
their specific profession, based
upon eligibility criteria, ensuring
suitability for the program.
-
Some clients will be required to go
through a full language assessment
to determine they are at a required
English level; these assessments
will be performed by qualified
intake staff.
-
Eligible clients will be referred to
the program and each client will
have an individual consultation with
the Intake Consultant/Counsellor to
develop a career action plan.
