Language Upgrading for Internationally Trained Teachers

Are you an Internationally Trained Teacher (ITT) who wants to improve your level of English in order to teach in the Ontario Public School System?

Skills for Change is offering Language Upgrading Courses that are specifically designed for the ITT whose goal is to become a teacher in Ontario.

These courses are designed based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels 7 to 10. Each course targets primarily those language skills needed to function confidently and proficiently as a Canadian teacher.

These courses are beneficial to ITTs who:

Want to prepare themselves to pass the language proficiency tests such as TOEFL & IELTS
Have passed the language proficiency test(s) with the OCT or have been exempted from the test but are interested in further language development as a future teacher in Ontario.

Eligibility Criteria
Landed immigrant, Convention Refugee, Refugee Claimants or Canadian Citizen

Skills for Change Facility
$40 non-refundable/non-transferable fee is charged for each course taken
