On September 14, 23 employers, several SfC Board Members and staff gathered together for a celebration of two important events, the Skills for Hire website launch and the 2004 Business Community Partnership Awards (BCP).

At the BCP breakfast awards ceremony, four companies were honoured for their partnership efforts to provide SfC clients with training and employment opportunities.

This year, the BCP awards were given in three categories and awarded as follows:
 

The Dedication to Learning Enrichment award went to two organizations, Aegon Canada Inc. and Party Packagers   The Outstanding New Business Partner went to Toronto General Hospital   The Business Partner of the Year went to Promeric Technologies Inc.

Following the awards ceremony, the official launch of the Skills for Hire website took place.

Skills for Hire is a fee-for-service recruitment portal for employers to access skilled, experienced and highly motivated internationally trained professionals and tradespeople.
