Engineering Your Future (EYF)

Engineering Your Future (EYF) is a program designed for Internationally Trained Engineers, Technicians and Technologists to successfully integrate into the Canadian workforce

Through a series of engineering-specific training modules, employment counseling and support, mentoring matches, and job development services, you will gain the confidence and skills needed to conduct an effective job search, develop an awareness of the employment options open to you and begin to build a network of professional contacts.
 

Training Modules

  • Overview and Orientation of Canadian Labour Market

  • Occupation-specific Terminology

  • Licensing Information

  • Customized Job Search Strategies & Networking

  • Connections to Employers (Job Development and Work Experience Placement)

  • Workplace Rights and Regulations/Business communication

  • Workplace Diversity Training

  • Mentoring

  • Computer Applications Review (MS Office)

  • Referral to fee base components: Skills upgrading (AutoCAD, Quality Assurance, MS Project Management)

Program Eligibility Requirements

  • Eligible to work in Canada

  • Language Level CLB 7+

  • Commitment to participate in the program and conduct an active job search

  • Professional and academic background in engineering

Workshops
Workshops are held at our Toronto and Brampton locations. They are held Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
