Career Transitions for International Medical Doctors (CT)

Career Transitiions web siteAre you an international medical doctor transitioning to an alternative career in the non-regulated health sector? A Landed Immigrant, Canadian Citizen or Convention Refugees? Do you have good level of English (Canadian Language Benchmark 7-8)?
 

The Career Transitions for International Medical Doctors program assists internationally trained doctors in making a transition into long-term alternative employment in the non-regulated health sector.
 

  • To assist IMDs in securing alternative careers utilizing their medical expertise

  • To assist employers in attracting and retaining IMDs in alternative careers

The program is designed to include sector-specific employment preparation program, individual counseling, and job development for:

  • Direct employment – full-/part-time

  • Job Shadowing

  • Integration into volunteer programs

  • Internships

  • Work experience placements

  • Mentoring

Program Features:

  • Develop resume, cover-letter & innovative job search techniques

  • Enhance interview skills, attend networking sessions

  • Advance your medical expertise in an alternative health sector employment

  • Identify unique jobs in the health sector
